Aldactone tablets are tablets that contain spironolactone, which is used to eliminate excess fluids in the body by increasing the diuresis effect.
Spironolactone belongs to a group of diuretics that work by maintaining the level of potassium in the blood and increasing the excretion of sodium and water in the urine.
Aldactone tablets are used to treat high blood pressure and congestive heart failure, as water and salts are excreted in the urine, blood pressure decreases.
They are also used to treat swelling resulting from fluid retention in the body, such as swollen feet, and to treat potassium deficiency and primary hyperaldosteronism.
