Colospasmin is a musculotropic antispasmodic medication containing mebeverine hydrochloride, which works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract. It is used to relieve painful muscle spasms associated with conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), stomach and intestinal cramps, bladder and urinary tract spasms, and menstrual cramps.
Mebeverine Hydrochloride 100 mg: A synthetic anticholinergic muscle relaxant that targets smooth muscles of the gut to alleviate spasms and related pain.
Relieves painful muscle spasms in the digestive tract and urinary tract
Helps manage irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms
Can reduce abdominal cramps and discomfort
Eases menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea) associated with smooth muscle spasms
Typically taken as 1 tablet, three times daily (tid)
Take 20 minutes before meals for best effect
Swallow tablets whole with water; do not crush or chew
Follow your doctor’s dosage instructions; after desired relief, dosage may be reduced gradually
Not recommended for children under 6 years
