Fludrex cold flu tablets combine four active ingredients for temporary relief of several symptoms that can occur together during a cold or flu. This 36-tablet pack contains an oral medicine for nasal congestion, a runny nose, fever, headache and body aches, when used according to the enclosed directions.
For adults and children aged 12 years and over, the usual dose is one tablet three times daily, or as prescribed by a physician. Swallow with water. Do not exceed the recommended dose or take alongside another medicine containing Paracetamol. Children under 12 require medical advice.
Drowsiness may occur; use caution with driving or machinery. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or if allergic to an ingredient. Seek professional advice before use with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid problems, glaucoma or liver or kidney disease. Suspected overdose requires urgent medical attention even without symptoms.
These cold flu tablets combine ingredients with different roles. Paracetamol helps lower fever and ease pain. Pseudoephedrine helps reduce swelling in the nasal passages to ease blockage. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps reduce a runny nose and sneezing. Caffeine acts as a mild stimulant within the combination.
Each tablet contains Paracetamol 400mg, Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30mg, Caffeine Anhydrous 32mg and Chlorpheniramine Maleate 3mg. The complete list of inactive ingredients should be checked on the packaging or enclosed leaflet, particularly when an ingredient allergy or sensitivity is relevant.
The combination provides symptom-focused support when nasal discomfort occurs with fever or aches. Choice of medicine should take account of the symptoms present, existing medical conditions and other medicines being taken.
