Voltaren Emulgel 1% pain relief gel is a topical medicine for local muscle and joint pain, inflammation and swelling. The 50g tube contains Diclofenac in an emulsion-gel base, combining local application with a soothing, cooling feel. It is intended for use on intact skin over the affected area.
For adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over, gently rub an appropriate amount into the affected area three or four times daily. The amount depends on the area, typically ranging from a cherry to a walnut in size. Follow the supplied leaflet or healthcare professional's instructions.
Wash hands afterwards unless they are the area being managed. Avoid broken skin, eyes, mouth and airtight dressings. Seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve within seven days. Do not use for more than 14 days for soft-tissue injuries without medical advice. Do not use with Diclofenac or NSAID allergy, or during the last trimester of pregnancy; seek advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
This pain relief gel delivers Diclofenac through the skin to the underlying area.
