Ezechol tablets are tablets containing ezetimibe, which are used to lower blood cholesterol levels and decrease high fats and cholesterol in the blood.
Ezetimibe belongs to cholesterol absorption inhibitors, as it reduces the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine, which reduces its levels in the blood.
Ezechol tablets reduce harmful cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (TG), which are compounds that increase the risk of atherosclerosis and blockage of the arteries.
They also increase the body's beneficial cholesterol (HDL), which makes it suitable for treating various types of hypercholesterolemia, alone or in combination with other cholesterol- lowering medications.
