Amlo 5mg Tablets 30's contain amlodipine besilate 5 mg, a calcium channel blocker used to treat essential (primary) hypertension, secondary hypertension, and angina. It works by relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure.
Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)
Management of angina (chest pain) caused by narrowed coronary arteries
Suitable for elderly and adult patients
The usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily
Dose may be increased to 10 mg once daily based on response
Can be taken before or after food
Swallow tablets whole with water
Avoid use if allergic to amlodipine or similar calcium channel blockers
Use caution in patients with low blood pressure, congestive heart failure, or severe aortic stenosis
Inform your doctor about other medications to avoid interactions
Common side effects include headache, swelling of ankles, dizziness, and fatigue
Seek medical advice if you experience severe allergic reactions or worsening chest pain
Store below 25°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight
